  This is such a strange shop with an eclectic style. It is designed so that as you enter you have to walk an aisle the length of the shop to get to anywhere else. You pass fruit and veg that never looks fresh and is overpriced compared to other places, especially in view of the quality. The smell of the hot food counter at the end of the aisle is really strong and not particularly pleasant. It hits you as soon as you walk into the shop. Some of the items have the highest prices I have ever seen while there is sometimes good offers on others. I agree always check the dates. They have a good wine selection with alternating offers. The staff aren't overly friendly and it is often chaos at the self checkouts. There are two rows of tills and the space between gets busy with people and staff attending till problems and authorizations. It is hard to get through at times without being squashed and shoved. I'd sum the shop up as trying to be high end meets corner shop. Sadly the quality of the every day basics is questionable and it just doesn't seem thought out.
